In this week’s Two Minutes With feature, we catch up with Amanda White, a Senior Consultant who has been working alongside Julie and Phil for 12 years!
Amanda reveals why she loves working at Creative Resource!
What made you originally apply to work at Creative Resource?
I was a single parent, my youngest had just started Nursery and I needed something flexible but interesting to work around being a mum. I happened to come across a job advert from Creative Resource stating just that. I started as an office manager and have progressed from there.
How has the company evolved over the years?
We have gone digital, we have grown in size, but our ethos has always been the same.
How have you changed as a recruiter during that time?
My role has changed through the years. I started in admin, then I was a resource and talent finder for candidates, and now I am a Senior Consultant. I really enjoy building lasting relationships with both clients and candidates.
How has the world of recruitment changed over the years?
You have to be more proactive, no longer can you rely on advertisements you have to go out and source candidate relationships.
Why is Creative Resource better/different to other recruitment agencies?
We have a great culture and team environment, it’s not pressured sales, it’s about the right fit for everyone at the end of the day. I know that I can be a mum and be great at my job at the same time. If I need to go to sports day or watch a play, there is never an issue.
What’s next for you and the Creative Resource?
To continue to grow with the company… so who knows what the future will bring but it’s exciting!
What is your favourite thing to do or place to go when you’re not at work?
We are an out-and-about family so anything outdoors is where you will find me. I have two teenage boys, so lots of crazy activities.
