25 years of Creative Resource!

As a business we have come a long way since our foundations all those 25 years ago, and so has the industry. The creative world shows a completely different picture to what once was, and the future is set to bring great things, both for the industry and for us!

We have met many fantastic people along the way, from industry experts to fresh-faced characters on their way to becoming the next generation of influencers. Our success is down to the wonderful people we have had the fortune to work with over the years, and so we are planning to celebrate and say thank you, with an evening full of creative entertainment and inspiration.

An evening of creative celebrations

On Thursday 3rd December from 6pm, we will be at Texture in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, hosting a night that’s bursting with creative flair, to celebrate the last 25 years of Manchester and the industry. From the images projected across the redbrick walls, to the sensational songs surrounding you, and more importantly, the people that you will meet, you can expect to be in for a treat!

Who will be there?

We have a number of industry experts joining us, who are all looking forward to sharing their stories on the night. There’s plenty of variety in what will be discussed, and we can guarantee that you’ll enjoy each of the industry insights:

Trevor Johnson | Manchester Design Legend | Havas Lynx

From creating designs for the famous Hacienda nightclub and its owners Factory Records, to creating branding for the likes of Manchester United FC and Granada Television, Trevor has earnt his place as a highly respected member of the industry, both locally and internationally. Trevor has also helped shape some of the courses available at both Manchester and Salford universities. Come down and listen to Trevor’s talk – we’re expecting it to be truly inspirational.

David Campbell | Creative Director | SLG Marketing

David joined SLG last summer, after heading over to the UK from Adelaide, Australia. His success within the industry can be seen through some of the awards he was earned, from Cannes, Clio and New York Festivals. David has recently introduced School of Thought to Manchester, a fantastic initiative that he will be talking about at the event.

Ian Patterson | Digital Transformation Consultant | NCC Group

Although Ian is keeping us very much in suspense, we can expect great things from his talk, Digital Dyslexic – thinking differently has never been so easy! – which we have been told will be shared in a Pecha Kucha style presentation…

Bruce Thomas | Managing Director | Modern-English Digital

Ex-musician, Bruce, will be entertaining us with his talk, The Revolution will be Digitised, which looks at his journey from the music industry all the way through to where he is now in the digital sector.

While he says he is “utterly embarrassed” by his musical past, we think he should be proud, so much so that you can expect to see a special video on the night!

For those chart-topping music lovers amongst you, you’ll excited to hear that Capital FM’s, Nige ‘The Wingman’ Clucas, will be hosting the evening. But leaving the best ‘til last, of course, the whole team from here at Creative Resource will be dotted around to chat to!

Looking forward to seeing you there
